Let Go
Comming Soon As part of the
Klanglicht 2025 festival.
“Let Go” is an immersive installation exploring the tension between control and acceptance — in dreams, and by extension, in life. Visitors step into a translucent, light-filled space where a single instruction awaits: “Tap your fingers to start dreaming.” Using a custom-built wearable interface connected to conductive fingertips, participants can influence a projected flowfield animation — both seeing it in front of them, and on themselves. Each touch changes the dream. The experience becomes reactive, personal, seemingly responsive. But the more you interact, the more the system begins to resist. The visuals grow chaotic, until they inevitably dissolve into white. A final message appears: “let go . . .” However, those who take the message literally — who choose not to engage — discover something else. After 25 seconds of stillness, the monochrome fades into color. A quiet, unfolding beauty reveals itself. Not controlled, but given. The moment they touch again, it vanishes. This project questions our instinct to intervene. It suggests that not every moment is meant to be shaped — and that sometimes, the most profound transformations happen when we choose not to act.
